The Role:

Act as a critical link between this Specialty Reinsurer's Underwriting teams. As an Actuarial Pricing Analyst, you will use your business knowledge and analytical abilities to provide Actuarial Pricing assistance across many lines of business in order to shape the future of Risk. This will include Model maintenance and review, Portfolio analysis, Reporting and other Actuarial related activities as required. The ideal applicant will have a proven track record of establishing relationships as well as the capacity to think strategically and analytically about business results. A strong sense of ownership, effective execution, and tenacity are essential.

You will be an important member of the pricing team, performing a number of responsibilities including, but not limited to, the following:

• Strive to enhance Risk selection and Pricing via continual improvement of existing Pricing tools, analysis, and procedures within the team and throughout the organisation.
• Support the collection, maintenance, and investigation of Pricing data, which will entail writing SQL queries and coding in VBA or other languages as needed.
• Collaborate closely with Underwriters to encourage understanding of Pricing Models and the results of Actuarial analyses.
• Effectively communicate Pricing results and trends to Underwriters and senior management.
• Assist with wider Actuarial assistance as needed.
• Reporting to Pricing Actuary

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience working within an Actuarial team
• Experience working within a General Insurance company / Lloyd’s Managing Agent is desirable
• Ability to work on multiple tasks and manage completing priorities
• Excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills
• Excel and other Microsoft Office applications knowledge
• Experience in VBA, SQL
• Power BI, R, or other software is a plus
