The Role:

Open to graduate level or with 1-2 years’ experience, this role offers an excellent opportunity to gain knowledge of the Lloyd's Market and gain experience in a variety of lines of business ranging from Casualty to Cargo and other Specialty lines. 

If you can demonstrate the ability to speak confidently with decision makers, are a strategic thinker with a positive attitude and obtain strong SQL Server knowledge, be a part of the team where you will have the opportunity to actively work to support the Reserving Calculation Engine for quarterly Reserving and Business Planning. Based in London reporting to the Reserving Manager you will also assist in the implementation of new enhancements and Reporting. As you help increase your level of skills and drive growth, you can be on track to earn great potential and propel yourself to success. 

What you will do: 

• Support the Reserving Calculation Engine SQL Database (RCE) for quarterly reserving and business planning  
• Assist in the maintenance of the RCE  
• Implement new enhancements and reporting 

What you have: 

• Strong SQL Server knowledge (views / stored procedures / triggers)  
• Strong Excel / VBA skills 
• Mathematical / Engineering background  
• Experience working within a General Insurance company / Lloyd’s Managing Agent is desirable  
• Ability to work on multiple tasks and manage competing priorities 
• Power BI, Python/R, Actuarial software, such as ResQ are desirable
