Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Analyst | Global Specialty (Re)insurance Company | (12 Month Contract) £50-55,000

The Role:

A specialty (Re)Insurance company are looking for an Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Analyst as a key member of their team with a hands-on approach to support the ongoing implementation of the company’s Risk Management framework and embedding a strong Risk Management culture throughout the business, you will play a key part in supporting the Team during this 12 Month Contract on its continued successful trajectory.

The role will focus on Lloyd’s and Company operation while reporting to the Head of ERM and will involve working with colleagues internationally, as the company continues developing and growing its operations. The opportunity would suit strong candidates with 1-3 years' experience working within a similar risk management role, who are looking for a sociable role to be part of a reputable firm.

What you will do:

  • Assist with the implementation of the company's Risk Management framework to ensure that Risks to the company's strategic and operational objectives are identified, analysed, monitored, and controlled in an effective and open manner.
  • Facilitate Risk and control assessments to ensure that all current, new, and developing Risks are recorded and managed effectively.
  • Complete Risk appetite monitoring through engaging with stakeholders.
  • Manage the process for recording loss occurrences and near misses, as well as analyse and document the underlying cause of incidents and planned remedial steps.
  • Monitor Risk Management actions to ensure they are completed on schedule.
  • Contribute to the creation of reports for the Board, Risk Committee, and others as necessary.
  • Keep detailed records and progress reports on all ERM efforts.
  • Provide training to the business to support and implement a strong Risk culture

What you have:

  • 1-3 years' experience within a similar Risk role
  • Insurance industry/Lloyd’s Market knowledge
  • Are a Motivated, self-starter with Analytical and problem-solving capability and keen attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; Outlook and Excel
  • Ability to communicate clearly with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels, in a professional, approachable, and confident manner
  • Able to work autonomously with strong organizational skills and the ability to plan ahead
  • Related business/finance degree, is advantageous
  • Risk background
