Pensions Actuary/Consultant

Our client, a leading consultancy, is looking to expand their already established team with the addition of a fully qualified pensions actuary/consultant. Key responsibilities in the role will be to provide excellent service to clients, consulting on their employee benefits schemes and defined benefit pension schemes. The incoming candidate will take responsibility for client accounts and offer sound advice to clients as well as more junior members of the team.

This position would be well suited to an individual who is looking to take the next step in their career by mentoring and developing team members, including helping to identify client development opportunities. It is essential that the incoming candidate keeps up to date with developments in pensions law and practice. The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of the legislative framework for UK pension schemes (including the Pensions Act, 1995) as well as disclosure requirements and statutory reporting obligations.

Broader experience of corporate transactions, risks, pensions aspects of sale agreements, and bulk transfers would be highly advantageous, as would an understanding of employee benefits issues to aid with advising clients on strategy.
