Head of Capital

Are you bogged down with regulatory work?  Do you think you can do more with your outputs to solve other business problems such as growth and increased profitability? 

An excellent opportunity has arisen with an international insurance company to lead their capital modelling function. 

Working closely with the ExCo, the wider actuarial function and underwriting teams; you will be responsible for setting the accurate capital position of the organisation. 

There is a team of capital modellers to manage and motivate, as the model is being developed to solve business problems, rather than regulatory concerns. The focus of the role is capital management and using the function's outputs as a business partner. This will include areas such as capital allocation, outwards reinsurance, ratings, portfolio management and new business acquisitions. 

You will have operated as a senior capital actuary/head of capital already or have the level of experience in associated areas such as portfolio management or risk structuring.  The position requires leadership and management skills as well as strong experience of developing relationships across a number of teams.
