Catastrophe Research Lead Up to £100,000 + Bonus

A respected Lloyd's syndicate is looking for someone to lead their catastrophe research team. This role will have a focus on climate risks and you will conduct model validation to ensure the syndicate's existing models are calibrated to the current level of risk. The successful candidate will have the support of 1-2 researchers and will work alongside the Exposure Management team to understand climate-related perils and assist with reinsurance purchases.

To be successful in this role experience in developing and evaluating catastrophe models along with experience using a programming language such as SQL, Python, and R is necessary. The ideal candidate will also have strong presentation skills and a PhD or Masters (or equivalent) in physical sciences preferably meteorology.
