This client, wondrously located within the infamous pink sandy beaches of Bermuda is seeking a team member with 5-7 years of experience in senior GI Actuarial Pricing and/or Reserving capacities to join their team. This key member of the GI deal origination team will report to the SVP, Pricing Actuary, and will be responsible for pricing fresh GI run-off Portfolios, assisting in the design and implementation of new products and structures, and establishing meaningful partnerships with a geographically dispersed team that includes senior members of the Underwriting, Actuarial Reserving, Capital Management, and Risk functions.

This actuarially credentialed individual will have experience in GI Pricing and/or Reserving and can expect to have a strong presence in the market within this successful organization. What you’ll be doing:

• Assisting with essential pricing efforts for GI run-off transactions, whilst maintaining return objectives and competitive constraints in consideration, with a particular emphasis on liability assessment and reserve and payment pattern projections.
• Collaborating on the development and continuous improvement of GI transaction stochastic pricing models, with a focus on modelling sensitivities and their influence on projected ranges of outcomes and financial returns.
• Clearly and confidently articulating and communicating actuarial pricing judgments and assumptions, while also supporting the same.
• Collaborating with our capital management and risk teams to build and evaluate risk-adjusted GI profitability metrics and risk analytics. 
• Monitoring the run-off competitive landscape and delivering feedback on new pricing models and deal-structuring approaches
• Creating and fine-tuning tools for monitoring pricing assumptions versus actual results.
• Reporting to the CRO.

What you’ll have:

• ACAS, FCAS, FIA, or equivalent actuarial credentials; experience with GI legacy/run-off business, especially as respects US-based risks, strongly preferred.
• Understanding of legacy/run-off transaction types, such as loss portfolio transfers, adverse development covers, insurance business transfers, and commutations and innovations.
• Working knowledge of various actuarial pricing tools and models, as well as the ability to maximise production and profit ambitions within governance, risk, and control environments.
• Eagerness to collaborate with a small, experienced group of leaders in a high-performance, goal-oriented atmosphere, as well as comfort with communicating positions and perspectives in a challenging environment.
• Strong analytical abilities, preferably with knowledge using data analysis tools and actuarial modelling software’s, for statistical modelling of large data sets.
