Job Details
A multinational general insurance company is looking for a part-qualified actuary to join the company as a Capital Modelling Analyst. This is an excellent opportunity to gain internal model exposure, working with a relatively new complex capital model.
About the position
The position will join the capital team of 4 actuaries, supporting the Head of Capital Modelling. The company use a shared service model so the Capital Modelling Analyst will have the opportunity to work across various capital models including CAT Risk and Reinsurance Modelling.
Duties for this role include (but are not limited to):
- Develop, implement and maintain the internal capital model.
- Follow governance processes and maintain required documentation.
- Improve processes and implement efficiencies through coding.
- Liaise with various teams and present to senior management as needed.
Actuarial skills required
This position will suit a technical part-qualified actuary with previous non-life actuarial experience. Strong coding skills in R and Python is highly desired. Excellent technical & numerical ability, as well as written and verbal communication skills are essential.
