Our client is seeking a qualified life actuary to support the maintenance of its Internal Model methodologies and frameworks while assisting with the development of Solvency II methodologies in support of the capital management strategy.
You will monitor relevant emerging regulations and developments within the industry, reporting to the business on the implications of developments as they emerge.
You will also perform methodology deep dives as the business evolves and expands to identify the key areas of change required for the Internal Model to continue to support the business.
In addition, you will educate the business, and appropriate governance committees, on Solvency II methodologies and the Internal Model.
With Solvency II experience either from roles in Financial Reporting, Actuarial Function or Independent Validation, the successful candidate will possess strong communication skills with the ability to simplify communications of technical issues to a non-technical audience.
Knowledge of Internal Model change processes alongside some experience of managing small projects or processes, would be desirable.
This role offers hybrid working and would ideally require someone in the office 2-3 days pw. This could be Scotland, North West England, London or the Midlands.
