Job Details
International specialty insurer has a graduate vacancy for a capital analyst.
The role sits within the London office which hosts the majority of the underwriting, risk and actuarial functions and the capital modelling team is lead by the CRO. The team pride themselves on being forward thinking and have been quick to adopt the latest software and programming techniques within their actuarial function. This hire will assist in building, operating and maintaining the capital model which uses the software Tyche. In addition you will support the production of capital and risk analytics to support key business decisions such as business planning and reinsurance strategy.
Full training and development support will be provided, accompanied with full actuarial study support for the IFoA exams.
The role is available to an immediate starter or as a graduate looking for a July start. They have a hybrid office / working from home policy in place.
Requirements:
- A strong set of A Levels with a minimum of AAB.
- A numeric degree graded a First Class or 2:1, either obtained or predicted.
- Prior experience within the insurance industry would be beneficial although not essential.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are imperative as you will be required to translate technical language into layman’s term to the wider business and also present to senior management
- An understanding of Excel based functions. Experience with additional programming languages such as VBA, R, Python or SQL would be advantageous.
- Must have full right to work in the UK.
