Job Details
Our client is seeking a qualified (or part-qualified) non-life actuary to support and manage capital models for regulatory purposes including preparation of the quarterly Bermuda Solvency Capital Requirement (BSCR), Solvency II Solvency Capital Requirement (SCR), and any ad-hoc capital assessments required.
In this key role, you will produce the actuarial aspects of the Bermuda Economic Balance Sheet and Solvency II Balance Sheets, including the calculation of the technical provisions (discounted Best Estimate Liability and Risk Margin).
You will also deliver deal structuring support, working with the wider business in relation to the assessment of new acquisitions from a capital perspective, and embedding new business into the quarterly capital processes.
With detailed capital management experience, the successful candidate will possess strong commercial awareness, including the ability to understand the impact of key business decisions on the financial position.
M&A and/or run-off liability experience would be an advantage, as would familiarity with the Bermuda Economic Balance Sheet and capital framework and Solvency II.
