IFRS17 Contractor

A well-known Dublin-based insurance provider is seeking an IFRS17 contractor to join their team as part of their IFRS17 project. This role is an excellent opportunity for a qualified life actuary to be involved in the organization’s next phase of implementing IFRS17 while working alongside other teams and departments as part of this process.

About the role

The IFRS17 contractor will be involved in all aspects of the IFRS17 project including facilitating the production of comparatives, ensuring the readiness of the wider business for IFRS17, assisting with ongoing earnings impact analyses, performing validation testing, developing test plans, and supporting the application of Policy Formation positions.

Additional responsibilities for the IFRS17 contractor role will include (but are not be limited to): 

• Contributing to the overall direction of the IFRS17 project
• Working with a wide range of individuals to assess the impact of IFRS17
• Ensuring the timely and curate management of key deliverables
• Leading key aspects of IFRS17 process implementation, technology, comparatives and wider operational workstreams

Actuarial skills required

The successful candidate for the IFRS17 contractor role will be a qualified life actuary with a number of years of experience. Previous reporting experience is required for this role, IFRS being a plus. Knowledge of key IFRS17 concepts would be an advantage. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, are required for this position.
