Senior Capital Actuary - Scotland

Oliver James are currently supporting a Life & Investments provider in their search for a Senior Capital Actuary.

The client are looking for someone with post qualified experience in Capital Management, Risk Management or Business Planning.

The role will be an important part in the delivery of the balance sheet and capital management activities across the business. Responsibilities will include:

• Providing insight on the financial strength and risks to the business. This will be achieved through analysis of the shareholder balance sheet and other key reporting metrics
• Develop, implement, monitor and optimise against capital management, asset liability, Matching Adjustment and/or liquidity framework
• Help identify, develop and deliver balance sheet and capital optimisation solutions

All though is role is a technical capital position there is a big focus on stakeholder management and relationship building. You will be required to influence and manage relationships with the Commercial Finance team, Chief Actuary, Legal and other external stakeholders.
