Modelling Contractor - Capital/ Business planning

Oliver James is representing a Pensions and Investment client who are looking for a contractor for an Outside IR35 assignment to build a new capital planning model.

The chosen contractor will plan and build a 5-year projection model. This can be built in Excel (or R or Python if preferred). The model is used to produce a capital report.

This is an urgent requirement so the client preference is for a contractor available within 2 weeks.

Start: Immediate (within a couple of weeks)

Rate: up to £800/day outside IR35

Duration: 3 month, scope for additional work beyond initial phase

An actuarial background is preferable for this role with experience in capital modelling being highly desirable. You will need previous experience of building business planning/projection models.

Experience

• Actuarial Background - qualification isn't mandatory
• 5+ years experience - more experience welcome. Ideally in an insurer or asset manager.
• Strong modelling experience in Excel, R, Python - must be able to build the model autonomously
• Background in building projection models
• Knowledge of Balance sheets and Capital Requirement Calculations is desirable
