Job Details
Our client is seeking a part-qualified non-life actuary with reserving and/or capital experience to support the production of the quarterly reserving assessments for the Group’s risk carriers and the Group.
Working closely with the Claims and Finance teams as part of the quarterly reserving submissions, you will day-to-day interactions with the claims team to improve the overall Group reserving position.
You will also support the production of the actuarial aspects of the Bermuda Economic Balance Sheet and Solvency II Balance Sheets, including the calculation of the technical provisions (discounted Best Estimate Liability and Risk Margin).
In addition, you will perform capital calculations for regulatory purposes including preparation of the quarterly Bermuda Solvency Capital Requirement (BSCR), Solvency II Solvency Capital Requirement (SCR), and any ad-hoc capital assessments required.
Legacy liability experience would be an advantage as would familiarity with the Bermuda Economic Balance Sheet and capital framework and Solvency II.
