Job Details
HFG are currently working with an established yet growing MGA, who are seeking a Claims Manager to work within their Specialty Division. This role will have specific focus on PI/FI and Casualty.
Duties include:
- To support the effective adjustment of complex claims within the relevant portfolios, in particular, utilising local knowledge and expertise to assist the claims team in pro-actively managing external lawyers and litigation risk.
- Mentoring and training of younger members of the team to better understand the litigation process and to act as a referral point when coverage and/or defence issues arise.
- To advise on and manage claims where there are complex coverage issues. Also, assisting with resolving wordings issues and with other contractual issues.
- To implement strategic plan for specific classes of business.
7+ years experience handling high level Complex PI/D&O/Casualty Claims is required for this role, as well as an ambitious and adaptable personality.
