Capital Actuary

Our client, an international insurance and (re)insurance business specialising in run-off and capacity provision is seeking a Capital Actuary to join their small but established team, boasting 20 years of combined experience.

The role is highly commercially focused and will report into the Head of Capital to provide capital modelling expertise to the wider business. The successful candidate will be a nearly/newly qualified Actuary with relevant non-life market experience. It is essential that the selected candidate is highly analytical and can communicate confidently to non-actuarial audiences within the business to support various teams and stakeholders. Those from a Consultancy background, with relevant experience, will be considered.

The successful candidate will contribute and add significant value to the team and wider business by supporting the group’s capital requirements, optimizing the capital structure, and assessing liquidity and leverage risk assessment and investor reporting. You will be responsible for quarterly and annual reporting across several regions and jurisdictions, inclusive of Solvency II and Bermuda BSCR. You will be responsible for generating capital forecasts and stress & scenario tests for required entities, in line with ORSA, CISSA and RSR.

An understanding and flair for technical coding (R, Igloo and Tyche in particular) would be highly advantageous however not essential.
