Deputy Head of Actuarial Function

We are looking for a senior qualified actuary to join a fast-paced savings and investment firm in Dublin as a Deputy Head of Actuarial Function. The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Actuarial Function to support the requirements set out in Solvency II and the CBI Actuarial Regime.

About the role

The Deputy Head of Actuarial Function will work alongside the Head of Actuarial Function and the Head of Actuarial Reporting, managing a team of three. Additional critical activities include Business Planning, ORSA, Capital Management and Reinsurance Management.

Responsibilities for the Deputy Head of Actuarial Function include (but are not limited to):

• Lead the review and oversight of the Financial Reporting process
• Lead the Actuarial Function’s input to the annual Business Planning process
• Collaborate with colleagues in order to maintain and enhance control
• Contribute to the production of annual Actuarial Reports as well as other additional reports as required

Actuarial skills required

All candidates should be qualified actuary will at least 10 years of experience, ideally in a Life financial reporting role. Applicants should also have:

• Experience in Solvency II, CBI framework and other relevant regulations
• Excellent management experience and skills
• Strong IT skills
• Effective communication skills
