Reinsurance Research & Development Actuary

A prestigious reinsurer in London are seeking to hire a life insurance actuary for a role focused on research and development for their actuarial bases in respect of Longevity, Mortality, Income Protection and Critical Illness products. This broad role will cover industry best estimate assumptions as well as the calibration of the internal capital model.

This role faces off closely with and supports the Pricing teams for quotes and to get their input into basis development work. It faces off with the Strategic Analytics teams to implement new techniques and providing support to the Business Development Teams in engaging with clients.

You will assist in expanding the areas of research, thought leadership and joint ventures with academia. This will be a very stimulating, engaging and thought provoking role, where you will work on medium/long term projects where there are multiple stakeholders with different interests.
