Pricing Actuary

Our client is a successful Lloyd’s Syndicate looking to attract a fully or very nearly qualified Pricing Actuary, who will work closely with the Chief Actuary as well as Senior Underwriters. The successful candidate will predominantly work in Pricing however will also have good exposure to Reserving and Capital Modelling.

The role requires solid actuarial knowledge and the ability to develop the pricing function in line with the growth of the team and wider business.

A key part of the role will be to continually maintain pricing models for the Syndicate in line with Lloyd’s minimum standards in order to price the portfolio as applicable. Development and maintenance of the pricing and monitoring system, as well as the building and maintenance of pricing models will be key deliverables.

The ideal candidate will have circa five years’ experience in the London Market, Lloyd’s would be highly advantageous. Exposure and knowledge of reserving and capital models as well as advanced knowledge of actuarial techniques for general insurance lines of business is essential. Previous experience of working with MGA binders would be highly desirable.

Expertise in tools including, Excel, Access, Sequel, Word, and Remetrica would be advantageous. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills and will be an excellent all round communicator.
