Reinsurance Actuary

Fairbank Partners are working with a provider of Specialty and Commercial Insurance and Reinsurance products on an International scale. 

The Outwards Reinsurance Analytics team is responsible for the analysis and placement of outwards reinsurance treaty programmes. The department covers all aspects of the contract placement, including reinsurance strategy, RI submission data preparation, treaty pricing, engagement with underwriters and brokers etc.

Your role is to support the Senior Actuary in developing the companies outwards reinsurance strategy including supporting the execution.

• Assist in the development of reinsurance strategy to suit business requirements and risk appetite
• Sourcing data from the MI warehouse, Actuarial Reserving & Rate Change processes and Finance ledger to build a submission pack and support reinsurer due-diligence review
• Collaborate with various teams to manage intra-group legal entity placements to optimise group capital requirements
• Transfer pricing and risk transfer assessment of reinsurance placements.

To be considered, we're looking for a Qualified Actuary who is an analytical problem solver and outstanding communicator with a minimum of 3 years experience gained in the property/casualty, reinsurance field or consultancy. You'll ideally have a broad background covering Pricing, Reserving and or Capital, since this role sits with the placement team and not sat in the corner. No one day is the same.
