Job Details

A global reinsurer is looking for a Chief Pricing Actuary to cover it's Asian businesses. Covering 12 different jurisdictions with varying degrees of market maturity, the CPA will be leading the development of pricing strategy and providing both global and regional leadership regarding the technical direction of their global pricing strategy, methodology and guidance.

The company is the market leader in the Asian life reinsurance market and has tripled in size in the last decade - they are the fastest growing part of the global entity. This role is currently being performed by the CRO who reports to the regional CEO but as the company grows, it's been decided to separate out the function.

You'll initially report to the CRO who will be able to provide support and a full handover.  The role will combine regional leadership of around 100 pricing specialists (c25 in HK) with a strong technical understanding of the key aspects of the pricing process.

You'll have three senior regional direct reports, all of whom have more than 15+ years of experience so candidates need to have at least 15-20 years of total experience combined with a strong background in insurance/reinsurance and expertise in pricing.

Ideally you'll have experience working in an international environment - either within European or Asian markets - which will help with understanding the cultural, language and product differences within different markets.

The total comp for this will be $500-600k USD.
