A very exciting contract opportunity has come up as as Assistant Accountant in a dynamic, successful and growing company. This company is going from strength to strength and has exciting plans for 2021, so it's a great time to join their experienced Finance Department for a Global Retail Brand! Looking for ambitious people who want to progress in their career!

Location:Hertford based, 3 days a week
Salary £30,000 - £40,000 depending on experience

Job Description:

• Assist with the preparation of the Monthly Management Accounts
• Balance sheet reconciliation and bank reconciliations
• Liaising with senior stakeholders and supporting with operational decision making
• Assist with the preparation of VAT returns
• Raising and posting month end journals
• Preparing reports and financial statements
• Working on company budgets, quarterly and annually
• Working on new projects, implementing and developing financial systems and processes
• Creating business strategies to generate shareholder value

Skills and Personal Attributes:

• Part Qualified (CIMA, ACA, ACCA) and proven experience or QBE
• Organised, hard working and great initiative
• A great team player with excellent communication skills
• Strong IT skills and intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Immediately available to start and interview
