Part-Time Pensions Actuaries

We still don't talk enough about part-time working.

Many of my clients support part-time working and will always meet good people seeking shorter working weeks.

However what we very rarely see is these roles being actively advertised and promoted.

This is a shame, and I think it leads to people assuming that their shorter week will make it far more difficult to change jobs.

This isn't an ad for a specific role, it's more to say if you have relevant experience then you absolutely can move jobs if you'd like to.

For example I've recently been helping an experienced pensions actuary with their career move. They work a shorter week, and they also stopped taking the exams ia few years ago for family reasons. They were not overly confident of securing any interviews when we first spoke, but two weeks later they had received three job offers from three great businesses.


All three would have been delighted to have them on board on the equivalent of a 3 day week, with added flexibility around how the hours are spread to suit them.

The most difficult part was deciding who to join!
