Job Details

Head of Pricing sought for a market leading insurance organisation based in the North West. Our client is very unique with operations spanning general insurance underwriting, healthcare and private medical insurance.

They are currently looking to appoint a Head of Pricing to take control of the Pricing function including; day-to-day Pricing activities, long term Pricing strategy, team management and assisting in the implementation of a new transformation programme.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop pricing strategies
  • Manage the ongoing review of the pricing and benefits of all products
  • Ensure quotes are balanced between the needs for competitive pricing and profitability
  • Work with the actuarial function as required to determine the capital consequences of pricing & underwriting decisions
  • Develop relevant & timely management information to key stakeholders
  • Take a lead role in any other projects that impact on the department

Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience in a Pricing role
  • Extensive knowledge of Pricing and Underwriting principles and philosophy
  • Strong numeric and analytical skills
  • Ability to think strategically
  • Well-developed IT skills, including Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Management experience with the ability to lead a team through a period of change
