Risk Manager

Arthur financial have partnered with one of the largest reinsurers in the world, with the objective of hiring a Risk Manager, to join their risk function, based in London.  Sitting within a team of 4 the Risk Manager will report directly into the Chief Risk Officer (CRO). 

As Risk Manager sitting within the global Risk  team, you will support the implementation and continuous improvement of the risk management framework for the entities supported by the London Risk team in all risk activities in accordance with the defined Enterprise Risk Management  framework whilst meeting all regulatory and commercial expectations. This includes quantification of regulatory capital calculations according to the standard formula, independent review of internal model parameterizations/methodologies/assumptions as well as production and reporting of capital projections. 

In this role you will assist the CRO and team to ensure that the risk management activities are appropriately interlinked with the relevant business and decision-making processes in order to further spread the risk culture across the organization and to foster the understanding and optimization of the risk return profile.

This role will provide broad coverage with significant exposures to stakeholders across the business.  A fantastic opportunity to join an amazing business and highly regarded Risk team. 

It is expected that you will have several years working experience in position of accountability and have extensive experience of working within Property & Casualty (P&C) commercial lines (re)insurance, particularly the London Market/Lloyd’s. You will have strong experience in Solvency II actuarial and financial risk modelling, including internal model frameworks. 

Candidates will be near or newly qualified actuaries or have equivalent qualifications i.e Mathematics, Statistics, Financial Engineering
