9 month FTC - Reserving / transformation Actuary

Would you like to gain experience with one of the most innovative London market insurance companies?  Bolton Associates have helped this company build their actuarial teams over the past couple of years and now we are working on a FTC  role to cover maternity leave.  Whilst this role is a contract position there is scope for the candidate to secure a permanent role should they wish to!  This is a highly sought after company to join!   The role will be for 9 months initially and will involve supporting the Group Chief Actuary with the following: 

• Contribute to the design and build of the Reserving transformation project which will give the company a market leading, largely automated Reserving process allowing the business to reserve in a day and produce high quality analysis to improve business outcomes
 

• Engaging with and influencing key stakeholders across the company with a focus on designing actuarial analysis which will feedback into the front-line decision-making
 

• Support the quarterly reserving and regulatory reporting of results

As well as: 

• developing and implementing the defensive strategy
• designing the infrastructure, tools and reporting to advise on the appropriateness of underwriting, reinsurance, technical provisions and risk management
• identifying gaps and weak spots within the organization’s business plan and collaborating with Underwriting and PO to navigate these and deliver consistent, market-beating results
