Leading partner-led consultancy seeking a qualified Pensions Actuary to join their specialist Risk Transfer team | Birmingham, London, Edinburgh or Glasgow with agile/flexible working

Oliver James are pleased to be working with a leading partner-led consultancy seeking a qualified Pensions Actuary to join their specialist Risk Transfer team of 20.

Within this role you will work with both Trustee Boards and Sponsoring Employers to help settle liabilities and reduce risk. You will include ownership of transactions for a range of client accounts, focusing on the preparation and delivery of advice to clients, whilst building and maintaining relationships with insurers and re-insurers and support the development of our propositions. Work will typically span across longevity swaps, buy-ins and buy-outs.

Role requirements:

• Qualified actuary
• Post qualification experience, working within a pensions consultancy or pricing team within a bulk annuity provider
• Solid understanding of the legislative framework for UK pension schemes

This is an excellent opportunity with a reputable consultancy that has led over £18bn of risk transfer transactions, managed 15 transactions for pension schemes of FTSE 100 sponsors and led the largest buy-in to include deferred members. Over the last couple of years, they have also been appointed lead risk reduction advisor to 80% of the schemes they have tendered for.
