Investigo are currently partnering with a PE backed, high-growth FMCG company in their search for a permanent FP&A Analyst. The company have just completed their series C fundraise and are looking to add an extra person to their finance team. The successful candidate needs to be a qualified accountant (or close to completion) with FP&A experience, strong Excel skills and be keen for a step up into a fast-paced start-up environment where comfort with ambiguity is a must.
The role:
- Support with and lead up parts of the quarterly and annual budgeting/forecasting processes
- Produce timely outputs for ad-hoc requests both internally and from the Board such as cohort analyses, LTV & payback rates, retention metrics, margin drivers, cost saving initiatives, working capital improvements and sensitivity analyses
- Model out multiple scenarios for different product / market launches and growth initiatives
- Work with Marketing to understand in granular detail: CPA, future growth rates, retention, channel effectiveness and where to allocate resources, different customer profiles, etc.
- Partner with the Ops teams to help them understand and optimise their unit economics in various different contexts, from supply chain to manufacturing to fulfilment
- Support the production of the 4 weekly management accounts pack with the core finance team, focusing on the integrity of the data, optimal data visualisation, & analytical commentary
- Liaise with different business leaders to ensure they correct potential deviations from plan on cost or topline, both proactively and retrospectively
- Be highly involved in our Sales & Operations Planning process, ensuring that workstream is effectively managing demand and supply in the short, medium and long term
- Communicate and present analysis regularly to senior management, discussing findings that will impact strategy in subsequent days, weeks and months
- Recommend and own specific departmental goals each quarter with an aim to constantly drive improvements in our reporting processes, critically analyse business performance and lead to better internal decision making
About you:
- CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified
- Advanced financial modelling skills
- 2 years+ FP&A or commercial experience
- Highly inquisitive and analytical mind capable of complex problem solving
- Passionate about how numbers can be transformed into key insight
- Ability to produce clear graphical data representations & present data in a clear way for finance and non-finance professionals
- Excellent communication skills
- Proven self-starter with an entrepreneurial 'can do' attitude
- Fine attention to detail with an eagle-eyed ability to spot trends and pick out inaccuracies
- SQL knowledge
- Experience of working with data in a commercial environment
