Job Details
Our client, a major insurer, is seeking a qualified life actuary to research, develop and price new product structures whilst leading strategic projects to identify and develop new business lines.
In this exciting career role, you will model the cost of different product structures using validated assumptions (internal data, partner data, industry and market data), professional judgement and actuarial modelling techniques and tools.
You will also identify shortcomings and opportunities for innovation and improvement, defining key metrics indicative of product performance and monitoring these metrics on an ongoing basis.
With advanced Excel and data analysis skills, the successful candidate will additionally possess very strong presentation and communication skills.
Advanced skills with statistical programming languages (R, Python) and data extraction and manipulation (SQL, cubes) would be desirable, as would experience in actuarial modelling and management of life insurance products (pricing, assumption setting, valuation and financial reporting, capital modelling and optimisation).
