P&C Underwriter

Responsibilities include:

• Maintain the team's reputation by managing an existing portfolio of clients who are mainly large accounts and mid-sized companies
• Set up and renew policies for international programs
• Organise meeting with clients and brokers
• Develop the portfolio inline with the company's ambitious growth plans by searching for and carrying out new business in compliance with underwriting guidelines
• Mentor and support the development of Underwriting Assistants
• Keeping updated with relevant market trends on a regular basis

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in property underwriting in insurance
• Experience working on international programs is highly desirable
• Good knowledge of industrial risks and their specificities
• Effective negotiator and communicator
• Excellent commercial and relationship-building skills
• Decision-making skills
• Team player who encourages knowledge sharing
• Fluent in French and English
