Job Details
An international (re)insurer is seeking an experienced reinsurance pricing actuary to lead pricing and analytics support for their highly successful casualty treaty team in the London office.
Working closely with the head of casualty treaty and other senior underwriters, this role will provide the opportunity to have a direct impact on the further success and strategy of this area.
This includes areas of work such as pricing model maintenance/development, performance analysis, portfolio level management, input into Retro purchase, business planning and involvement in pricing strategy. There will also be exposure to capital analysis to help with pricing and the impact deals will have on solvency. You will also be involved in assessing new business and have future opportunities to progress into a leadership position.
You will also have the support of a wider pricing function as this organisation writes a broad range of direct and reinsurance business. This includes having the opportunity to use resource from other teams in busy periods.
Enjoying developing strong relationships with underwriters and other teams is required to provide challenge on reinsurance structures as well as be involved in key internal groups such as the pricing and underwriting committees.
This role could be taken up by someone in a reinsurance actuarial position wanting to take on more responsibility and develop a deep understanding of casualty treaty business. This could be someone who is qualified or part-qualified who can demonstrate the skills and experience at this level.
