Senior Catastrophe Research Analyst

A global insurance leader is looking to bring on a Catastrophe research analyst in exposure management into their London office.

This is a research oriented role which will focus on working with experiences model evaluation teams across the globe. Identifying natural catastrophe research projects that will have meaningful commercial impact to clients. Evaluating models against independent views of risk and develop bespoke model adjustments.

As an international commercial business, the client offers an inclusive work structure with long term stability and financial strength along with diverse business opportunities of a leading international re-insurer.

The ideal candidate with have technical expertise with SQL, Pyton and R and will have strong presentation and communication skills. Strong statistical and quantitative skills. Professional written and verbal communication skills. Experience in developing catastrophe models in the Re/Insurance industry. An academic background in hydrology is preferable.
