Exclusive - Specialty Pricing Actuary - Includes Model Development - R, Python (12 months FTC)

Excusive to Fairbank Partners, we are looking for a Pricing Actuary who is either an FIA, can be still studying or has given up the exams. Qualification is not the relevant factor here. 

You must however have proven Pricing experience in P&C insurance with recent Lloyd’s experience. The work includes day to day case pricing, working with Underwriters and developing and maintaining pricing models, providing analyses and management information reports.

Good working knowledge of CAT Modelling Tools and Systems, capital modelling and reserving processes are beneficial as well as strong analytical skills and ability to manipulate or handle large datasets.

Significant experience using R, Python, R-Shiny, or any other programming languages in commercial environment is expected due to the nature of the role having a focus on model development. 

The role involves working in a small team of 4 people, reporting to the Head of Pricing and will cover maternity leave for 12 months. The current incumbent is likely to start maternity from July or August, so we are looking for someone to start before this to provide some handover, although no essential.
