Syndicate Actuary

A Lloyd's managing agency with a number of syndicates under management is seeking a nearly/recently qualified actuary to play a key role within their actuarial team. 

A mixed role of reserving, capital modelling, SII, business planning and pricing review; this role will take on responsibility for these duties for one of the syndicates.  This will include presenting to senior management, providing them with insight and building a strong relationship of trust between the actuarial function and the leadership. 

There will be opportunities to assist on other syndicate business and an expectation to help with the ongoing development of the actuarial function. This could be involvement in process development, new technologies or overall business growth. 

The actuarial team operates a system which includes a pool of analysts so you will have the opportunity to manage team members to assist with your tasks.  

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have reserving and/or capital modelling experience within a non-life insurance company.  You will excellent stakeholder management skills and want to manage multiple projects at the same time.
