Senior Technical Actuary for a Life Reinsurer

Location: Central London

Following their successful trail of acquisitions over the last few years our client is creating a Technical Product Team to focus on their integration as they acquire new blocks of business and the historical blocks they've acquired.

This team is likely to be a composed of a Senior Technical Actuary then a second individual who is likely to have the actuarial background but perhaps a broader skill set around project management / business analyst type skills.

This team will need to combine the technical product expertise finding the historical issues then needs to find practical solutions

Team will have two main areas of focus:


  • Advanced Administration - Dealing with the complex bits left over after a deal and subsequent integration of the blocks. Dealing with the stuff that just doesn't fit and often requires manual calculations.
  • Fund Consolidation - They have circa 400 unit linked funds and need to merge them where possible.

    • Key Requirements:

    - Actuary with UK experience
    - Strong experience with unit-linked products
    - You must be eligible to work in the UK - these rules have changed recently so when applying please state your eligibility to work in the UK. (E.g. British passport, Irish passport, ILR, settled-status, etc.)
