Lead Actuary - Political & Credit

A global insurer is seeking an experienced actuary to lead pricing and portfolio management for a significant section of their specialty business. 

Leading a team of actuaries and pricing professionals, you will have overall responsibility for providing pricing support, analytics and insight to the political risk and credit business unit.  You will be a key part of portfolio decision making for this area and strike up strong relationships with senior underwriters, including the global lead. Business is written across several international locations and the team, although largely based in London, does have members in other insurance hubs. 

There are interesting projects to get involved in from day one which covers both efficiencies for the current portfolio but also the development of new products and business opportunities.  You will also use the team's findings in dealings with brokers and customers, as well as liaising with the centralised capital and reserving functions. 

Ideally you will be experienced in specialty pricing and in particular lines such as trade credit, political risk and surety.  You will have people management experience and seeking that next step to a senior management level.
