ALM Actuary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ALM Actuary to join one of the leading financial services providers in the UK. This is a rare opportunity and one of the most senior Actuarial roles in the business, with excellent exposure to C-suite individuals. They are aggressively growing their market share and have recently become the market leader for distribution of the financial products that they specialise in. This is a newly created position to grow their capabilities to execute greater volumes of new business. As part of this role you will be responsible for building ALM models from scratch with view to modelling new business propositions which can be pitched to funders and to demonstrate the attractiveness of these propositions in line with their existing portfolios. You will have advanced Excel skills (VBA) and will have experience of managing a portfolio of different products and will demonstrate a wide understanding of financial instruments. This role is well suited to a highly quantitative actuary who understands assets and who can confidently present concepts to clients. Although you will be expected to attend occasional client meetings (in London) and to visit the office (post Covid) on occasion, there will be a huge amount of flexibility for home working.

You will either have experience working at a life insurer or pensions/investment consulting firm to be considered.
