Data Migration Actuary (outside IR35)

Fairbank Partners are working with a leading life Insurer for a 6 month day rate contractor.

Data migration of our policy admin system from our in-house systems to an external provider. We are looking for a recently qualified actuary (1-2 years post qualification experience) and an actuary (5+ years post qualification experience) to support the actuarial valuation workstream within the project

Key activities

• use actuarial knowledge and expertise to guide project on actuarial requirements for data migration

• engagement with data users to understand their requirements and ensure these are delivered by the project

• analysis of results from migration testing on actuarial reporting metrics and investigate discrepancies to within tolerances

• engagement with data providers on actuarial valuations data feed to resolve data defects and data quality issues

• engagement with data architects on the data processing solution (creating of model points, experience analysis data) to ensure it meets the needs for data

• provide support to the valuations lead to ensure key milestones of the project are met 

Experience

• Actuarial reporting knowledge/expertise (SII Must have, IFRS4 highly desirable, IFRS17 nice to have)

• Actuarial change and development projects involving data and /or model development (highly desirable)

• Knowledge / understanding of data processing (ie production of model points etc) and end to end reporting process (nice to have)

• Experience of actuarial best-estimate assumption setting processes and supporting data analysis techniques (nice to have)

• Previous experience of data migrations (a nice to have)
