Senior Actuarial Manager – Life Consulting

Up to £100k base (DoE) + Competitive Bonus & Benefits package

MBE Consulting specialise in providing actuarial transformation and regulatory consulting to the Life Insurance industry. We help some of the sector’s biggest clients become more efficient, effective, and profitable through the expert delivery of projects in risk management, technology solutions, and process improvement.

As a fully qualified Senior Actuarial Manager, you will be leading high-profile projects designed to improve actuarial performance for our clients, with responsibility for managing teams and day-to-day stakeholder relationships. You will play a crucial leadership role in the growth of a small business through a blend of advisory engagement delivery and business development, while providing thought leadership as an expert in your field.

We are looking for people who have at least 8 years’ Actuarial experience with a minimum of 3 years’ fully qualified experience. Any previous consulting experience would be advantageous, but more importantly we are looking for individuals who have a track record of leading multiple life insurance projects. In addition, we will ask you to demonstrate:

  • In depth knowledge of regulatory regimes including IFRS, Solvency II, and GAAP, with experience in valuation & reserving and/or Asset Liability Matching.
  • Experience and/or understanding of Actuarial Function processes, systems and governance.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) with the ability to communicate complex technical matters in a clear way.
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship building skills.
  • Experience managing and developing people and teams.
