Director of Investment Risk - Exclusive

Oliver James are working exclusively with an international Life Insurer as they seek to appoint a Director of Investment Risk.

This a senior position reporting directly into the CRO and will be working closely with the CIO and Market Risk teams. In this influential position, you will be engaging with senior stakeholders up to Board level.

In this role you will be responsible for supporting the development and strategic management of the risk function, alongside leading the oversight teams across - liquidity risk, market risk, credit risk, portfolio risk and ALM.

The ideal candidate will have sound knowledge of fixed income products including derivatives and hedging instruments, as well as exposure to different asset classes including both traded and private credit. Knowledge of annuities, Solvency II and Matching Adjustments is also required, along with previous experience of managing a senior team.

This is an influential role within the business and a fantastic opportunity to have some real impact on the business as they seek to improve connectivity between their international branches.

This role is open to candidates from an actuarial, investment or risk background.
