ESG Investment Manager

UK's longest-serving bulk-annuity provider and market-leading insurer, seeking an ESG Investment Manager to lead the development and execution of their ESG framework | London Based | Up to £85k + very competitive bonus

Oliver James are working with a market-leading and multi-award winning insurer, seeking an ESG Investment Manager to join their retirement business in London.

You will work as part of a team of 3, to review & continuous development of external ESG investing commitments- developing insightful ESG-related analysis and taking a lead to deliver the agreed strategy with various internal stakeholders. You will drive the execution of portfolio strategy with the in-house asset manager, to reflect ESG objectives and develop portfolio decarbonisation targets in line with long-terms objectives. You'll be particularly involved with Climate related risks and opportunities, in a high-visibility, dynamic and high-accountability role, working with cross-functional teams across the business.

Role requirements:

• Chartered Financial Analyst charter holder or qualified /part-qualified actuary
• Credit research or portfolio management background in ESG from within insurance or asset management
• Understanding of Insurance company balance sheets, particularly Solvency II framework and Matching Adjustments
• Good understanding of all major asset classes & a strong understanding of fixed income valuation concepts
