Junior Actuarial Systems Developer - Innovations programmer

A prestigious and global reinsurer are seeking to hire an ambitious junior systems developer with a passion for programming and on working on advanced analytics to join their actuarial systems team. You should be incredibly passionate about technology and will have some demonstrable experience in areas such as Python / C++ / VBA programming or perhaps even in machine learning techniques.

This reinsurer are seeking to hire an individual who will want to be involved in ensuring that they are at the forefront of innovation in the insurance industry with regards to their analytics capabilities.

Additionally you will be an individual who thrives on a collaborative style of working as there is a big focus on project work working closely with colleagues and the wider business. You do not need to have a previous actuarial background to join this team, and could have a greater interest in a career in machine learning within the insurance field. You will be supported with further training and sponsored for further qualifications in either machine learning or with an actuarial study support package if your interest is in qualifying as an actuary longer term.

Prior relevant work experience in an actuarial, software or programming focused role would be favourably looked at, however graduates with exceptional academics in relevant courses will be considered (particularly if it is clear that you have the right profile to be considered.
