A Lloyd's managing agency is seeking a part-qualified actuary to join their highly respected reserving function.
Focusing on a syndicate which is multi-line, spanning property, casualty and specialty business; this role will be tasked with quarterly reserving duties such as reserve calculations, reporting, and presenting results. Not a back office team, they use their findings and knowledge to help make underwriting and strategic decisions; and as such, developing strong relationships across the organisation is actively encouraged. This also allows a greater understanding of how a complex insurance organisation works.
This team has a very good track record of developing student actuaries into management and other senior roles, so they are seeking someone ambitious. Also, as they have the ability to train, they welcome applications from those currently in any GI, Life, Pensions or Investments actuarial positions.
You will ideally be part-qualified and making good progress with the actuarial exams. However, most important for this position is the willingness to learn coupled with the determination to succeed within the non-life actuarial market.
