Graduate Actuary

Seeking graduate to who wants to begin their actuarial career at prominent specialty Lloyd’s insurer.

In this role you will be exposed to the full range of activities across teams covering Reserving, Pricing and Planning with particular focus on the Business Analytics side (Planning). You will be supported by a comprehensive study package.

You will contribute to the continual development of business analytics, with collaboration across other departments such as management, underwriting, finance and catastrophe management. Additionally, carry out data manipulation, reconciliation and analysis across the Actuarial Team.

• Excellent examination track record: AAA at A-Level and a 1^st Class or 2:1 numerate degree results
• Strong IT skills. Prior familiarity with specific software is not essential but we are looking for someone who has demonstrated the ability to learn new software quickly and use them to a high level. Coding experience will be an advantage (e.g. VB, C++, C#, SQL).
• Ability to build relationships with underwriting staff and wider company.
• Good communication skills (both verbal and written).  Ability to communicate technical aspects to non-technical staff.
• Ability to work in an organised manner, producing clear documentation and audit trails.
• Able to prioritise work and assess feasibility of deadlines.
• You must be able to work in the UK without requiring visa sponsorship
