About the Opportunity

As one of our Risk Pricing Consultants, you will be responsible for building and managing the technical price, using both data and judgement to form a ‘best view’ in order to achieve fair and accurate prices.

Liaising with various stakeholders from all around the business, you will be involved in a wide range of different activities. This could include projects such as large scale price builds, claims projections, and costing product changes and propositions. All recommendations will need to be assessed from a technical perspective with suitable judgement applied. The work that the Risk Pricing team carries out is all related to understanding the costs involved in writing insurance business, often providing insight and transparency to help the business make informed decisions.

Based at our Head Office in Stratford upon Avon, our pricing function covers both Commercial and Personal lines of business – everything from large commercial risk to pet insurance. This breadth within the department brings you an opportunity to broaden your skill-set and enrich your knowledge.

As an innovative and recently-established department, there is the opportunity for you to contribute to ways of working. This role also includes line management responsibilities to support the development of a small number of analysts within the pricing team.

About You

We are seeking dynamic general insurance pricing professionals who can demonstrate previous experience of leading and delivering a pricing project. Risk/technical pricing knowledge would be preferable, however this is not essential and consideration will be given for other areas (e.g. modelling).

Additionally, you will need to have strong stakeholder management experience and the ability to communicate effectively to non-technical audiences.
