Interim Investment Risk Actuary

Fairbank Partners are currently working with an insurer in the Midlands and are looking for a part qualified Actuary for an initial 3 months. 

The candidate would be joining the Investment Risk Team based in Wythall, ideally we would want someone with some ALM/SII Matching Adjustment calculation experience and life insurance background.

We have a number of manual processes which we’re looking to improve and automate, the ideal candidate would have strong VBA/Excel skills.

In addition we currently have a number of high priority projects as well as our ongoing BAU work to accommodate, depending upon the candidate we would either use them directly on the projects or to support BAU (which would free up resource to move onto projects).

Projects include:

1. transition and harmonisation work 
2. IBOR Transition
3. BPAs Acquisitions

BAU tasks include:

1. Hedging market risks (rates, equity, credit and inflation) within our WP funds and at an entity level
2. MA Optimisation and demonstrating compliance with the PRA Tests
3. Producing Management Information
