HFG have partnered with a leading Lloyd's Syndicate to assist with their search for a Senior Claims Adjuster, focusing predominantly on North American Property.
Main Responsibilities:
- Handling claims within authority levels in accordance with the Claims PACE Principles and the Practice and Procedures ensuring and delivering the very highest level of customer service to our policyholders.
- Technical claims referral point for claims staff, underwriters, actuaries, brokers and clients including complex face to face negotiations.
- Instructing and liaising with solicitors, attorneys and adjusters from agreed panel to ensure best outcomes whilst controlling costs and reducing claims leakage.
- Processing claims via ECF and internal systems.
- Involvement with claims financials reporting as appropriate.
- Producing product line best estimates in response to a large loss or event.
- Involvement in technical claims projects.
- Working closely with underwriting team.
- Develop and maintain strong market relationships with brokers and co-insurer.
- Involvement, when time permits, with other WRC claims as appropriate.
Skills and Experience:
- Expert knowledge of coverages, benefits and exclusions.
- Understanding and application of legal and regulatory issues relating to the policy wordings
- Understanding and application of claims handling processes in relation to market systems and in house systems
- Understanding and application of standard processes and procedures.
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
