Job Details
Key responsibilities:
- Play a key role within their internal reserving review across multiple lines
- Calculate and review Solvency II technical provisions
- Interact closely with the capital team to regulate capital assessments and feed into model development and use
- Support all forms of reporting in other departments across the company
- Provide mentoring and support to graduate members of the actuarial team
Desirable attributes but not a prerequisite:
- Strong ability to analyse problems and develop structured solutions
- Nearly/newly qualified Actuary and have industry experience within the General Insurance market
- Good knowledge of solvency II, including technical provisions
- Experience in Actuarial/data science software i.e. SASS, VBA, SQL, R, python would make you a strong candidate
- Excellent interpersonal/communication skills
