Data Science Lead

An experienced data scientist is needed to lead the DS team of this Central London insurer. 

Working for a leading motor insurance company, the position will further help to develop advanced methods in the areas of machine learning, data science, and statistical techniques.  The role is responsible for accurate insight for both internal and external data; as well as the production of predictive models to support front-end solutions. 

The DS team supports pricing initiatives in the first instance but will also provide support to a number of other areas such as counter fraud and marketing. 

You will bring a strong understanding of data science techniques and thought leadership to this role.  Opportunities to innovate pricing models and processes are on offer, with regular reporting to senior management. You will need to have a strong technical background but also the management and relationship skills to lead the team effectively. 

Pricing and/or insurance experience would be useful, but not essential.  This is an excellent opportunity to move into or continue growing within the data science market.
